Role Overview: Service Engineer
We are seeking a dedicated and technically proficient Service Engineer to join our Chennai team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for on-site equipment servicing, maintenance, and providing technical support to clients across assigned regions. This is a field-based role requiring both independent initiative and team collaboration.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform troubleshooting, installation, and maintenance of machinery at client locations.
- Deliver timely and accurate field service support for technical issues.
- Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance to ensure equipment reliability.
- Maintain service reports and feedback documentation for internal tracking and client communication.
- Collaborate with internal teams (sales, product development) to provide customer feedback and technical insights.
- Educate customers on proper operation, maintenance, and minor troubleshooting techniques.
- Maintain a high level of customer satisfaction by ensuring minimal equipment downtime.
Qualifications and Skills
- Diploma or degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or related technical discipline.
- 1–5 years of experience in equipment servicing, technical support, or a related field.
- Strong skills in troubleshooting, mechanical maintenance, and field repairs.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Must be comfortable with frequent travel for on-site support.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
