Position Summary
We are looking for a skilled and proactive Maintenance Engineer to join our dynamic team at our Katunayake facility. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in equipment maintenance, electrical systems, and preventive maintenance strategies. This role involves hands-on maintenance responsibilities and technical troubleshooting to ensure optimal equipment performance, safety compliance, and minimal production downtime.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out preventive, corrective, and predictive maintenance on a wide range of manufacturing equipment.
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical and mechanical systems, ensuring minimal disruption to production.
- Maintain maintenance logs, equipment records, and safety compliance documentation.
- Collaborate with production and engineering teams to ensure timely resolution of maintenance issues.
- Interpret technical manuals, schematics, and engineering drawings to support repair tasks.
- Support installation and commissioning of new equipment or machinery upgrades.
- Ensure adherence to health, safety, and environmental standards during all maintenance activities.
Required Qualifications & Skills
- 3–4 years of hands-on experience in equipment and electrical maintenance within a manufacturing or industrial setup.
- Strong understanding of preventive maintenance schedules and procedures.
- Ability to read and understand technical drawings, manuals, and electrical diagrams.
- Solid knowledge of electrical safety standards and industrial safety protocols.
- Good analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
- Proximity to Katunayake will be considered a significant advantage.
