Job Summary

The Vice President Sales–General Trade leads national GT strategy, drives performance across regions, and strengthens distribution and revenue growth. The role requires strong leadership, commercial insight, and a deep understanding of FMCG markets and GT operations to ensure effective execution and sustained business expansion.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute a robust General Trade strategy aligned with overall business goals.
• Lead, mentor, and inspire national and regional sales teams to deliver exceptional performance.
• Drive distribution expansion, channel penetration, and numeric/weighted distribution targets.
• Build strong partnerships with distributors, wholesalers, and trade partners.
• Manage P&L for the GT channel; deliver sustainable volume, value, and profit growth.
• Lead demand planning, forecasting, and GT-specific trade marketing initiatives.
• Strengthen RTM models and implement best-in-class sales processes and KPIs.
• Monitor market dynamics, competitor activity, channel trends, and consumer insights to inform decision-making.
• Oversee execution excellence across all regions, ensuring strong in-market activation.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Marketing, Supply Chain, Finance) to support strategic initiatives.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of progressive experience in FMCG sales, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
• Proven success in managing large GT operations at a national or multi-regional level.
• Deep understanding of GT distribution networks, sales systems, and RTM strategy.
• Strong commercial acumen with P&L management experience.
• Excellent leadership, stakeholder management, and communication skills.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, growth-driven environment.
