Job Summary

The Service Asset Management & IT Order Management professional will be responsible for maintaining IT asset records, managing the asset lifecycle, and ensuring timely order processing and delivery of IT services. The role involves coordination with vendors, internal teams, and users to ensure compliance and operational excellence.

Responsibilities

L1 Responsibilities (Entry-Level / Support):

• Update daily IT asset records in the management database.
• Support order processing and hardware tracking requests.
• Respond to basic asset-related queries on status, location, and ownership.
• Ensure timely closure of IT service requests.
• Maintain proper documentation for asset transfers, disposals, and returns.
• Escalate unresolved issues to L2 or relevant teams.

L2 Responsibilities (Experienced / Specialist):

• Manage the full IT asset lifecycle from procurement to retirement.
• Validate and reconcile asset data to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Coordinate with vendors for procurement and delivery.
• Generate reports for audits, compliance, and forecasting.
• Improve asset tracking and order management processes.
• Train and mentor L1 team members on best practices.
• Resolve complex issues and handle escalations effectively.

Qualifications

L1 Level:

• Basic understanding of IT hardware/software and inventory systems.
• Familiarity with ITSM tools such as ServiceNow.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Attention to detail and adherence to procedures.

L2 Level:

• In-depth knowledge of asset lifecycle management, CMDB, and ITIL frameworks.
• Experience in vendor and procurement management.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and reporting tools.
• Proven ability to lead process improvements and mentor juniors.

Preferred Certification:
• ITIL Foundation (for both L1 and L2 levels)
