Job Summary

The Regulatory and Government Relations Specialist supports compliance, manages regulatory communication, and maintains structured engagement with government institutions. The role ensures timely approval processes, stakeholder coordination, and regulatory documentation while supporting project operations.


Responsibilities

• Corresponding with government institutions and agencies
• Dealing with external stakeholders and maintaining a comprehensive register with supporting documents
• Liaising with government departments to ensure compliance with regulations and obtain necessary approvals
• Collaborating with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure project compliance
• Willingness to travel to designated locations and complete assigned tasks promptly
• Regular travel to the East Coast project site to deal with government institutions and stakeholders


Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or a Professional Qualification in Business Administration, Project Management, Law, or a related field
• Applicants with SLAS Special Grade (preferably retired) or similar qualifications will be considered under a consultancy arrangement
• Proven experience in a similar role in an established corporate or government department
• Excellent organizational and multitasking skills
• Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
• Knowledge of Sri Lanka’s legal framework
• Experience in dealing with government departments
• Ability to converse in all 3 languages will be an added advantage. (Sinhala/ Tamil/ English)
