Job Summary

The Officer – Finance supports the organisation’s financial reporting, regulatory submissions, and control processes. The role requires strong analytical capability, accuracy, and the ability to follow structured financial procedures while supporting internal teams.

Responsibilities

• Support preparation of materially accurate and compliant financial and regulatory reports.
• Draft notes and disclosures for input into financial and regulatory reporting for management’s review.
• Support reviews of financial/regulatory processes, perform periodic testing of controls and manage the month end accounting closure deadlines.
• Support teams in preparing financial and regulatory returns for management review.
• Support the business to implement recommendations provided by internal/external auditors and regulators to strengthen the controls framework.
• Develop knowledge in financial and regulatory reporting, through working with internal experts and undertaking training.

Qualifications

• Reading for advance stage of CA/CIMA/ACCA or equivalent or a graduate in Business or Accounting discipline.
• Have adequate experience in Financial/Management and/or Regulatory reporting in a Bank or Financial Institution.
• Advanced MS Excel skills including VLOOKUP, pivot tables and Macros.
• Strong attention to detail and good analytical skills
• Good knowledge in accounting regulations and procedures, including the Generally Accepted Accounting Principles
