Job Summary

The Manager – Recruitment leads UPS Sri Lanka’s talent acquisition function. The role oversees strategic hiring, manages end-to-end recruitment, enhances employer branding, and ensures compliance with HR standards.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement comprehensive recruitment strategies aligned with company growth objectives.
• Manage the end-to-end recruitment process, from job posting to onboarding.
• Partner with business leaders and department heads to forecast staffing needs.
• Oversee and guide the recruitment team in sourcing, screening, and interviewing candidates.
• Enhance the employer brand to position UPS Sri Lanka as an employer of choice.
• Utilize digital platforms, job portals, social media, and professional networks to source high-quality candidates.
• Track recruitment metrics (time-to-fill, quality of hire, retention rates) and present reports to management.
• Ensure compliance with Sri Lankan labour laws and internal HR policies throughout the recruitment process.
• Drive diversity, inclusion, and equal opportunity hiring practices.
• Collaborate with HR leadership on talent development, workforce planning, and succession management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Management, or related discipline (a postgraduate qualification or HR certifications would be an advantage).
• 5+ years of experience in recruitment/talent acquisition, with at least 2 years in a managerial role.
• Prior experience in the logistics, freight forwarding, or service industry is an added advantage.
• Strong knowledge of recruitment best practices, employer branding, and HR compliance.
• Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
• Proven ability to lead a team and work collaboratively with senior leadership.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
• High levels of professional integrity, trustworthiness, and discretion in handling sensitive HR matters.
