Job Summary

The Manager – Treasury manages liquidity, investments, funding strategies, and financial risk. The position maintains banking relationships, ensures policy compliance, and supports organisational stability by executing effective treasury operations. This role contributes to long-term financial performance through structured planning and oversight.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for monitoring daily cash positions, preparing short- and long-term cash flow forecasts, and ensuring sufficient liquidity for operational and strategic needs.
• Manages company-wide cash utilization and intercompany funding while ensuring surplus funds are invested safely and profitably.
• Builds and maintains strong relationships with banks and financial institutions. Negotiates favorable terms for banking facilities, reviews bank performance, and coordinates operational banking matters including overdrafts, and credit lines.
• Evaluates the company’s short- and long-term funding requirements and manages borrowing activities to maintain an optimal capital structure.
• Oversees all treasury-related transactions such as payments, fund transfers, and investment activities. Ensures strong internal controls, accurate account reconciliations, and integrity of the treasury management system to minimize financial and operational risks.
• Prepares key treasury reports including cash positions, facility utilization, debt schedules, and investment performance. Supports budgeting, forecasting, and corporate finance. Ensures adherence to internal policies, regulatory requirements, and audit standards, and coordinates with internal and external auditors.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
• Professional qualifications such as CIMA, ACCA, CFA, or ACA are an advantage.
• Minimum 5–7 years of treasury or corporate finance experience, including leadership exposure.
• Strong knowledge of banking operations, debt instruments, and risk management.
• Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
• Proficiency in ERP systems and treasury management tools.
