Applova seeks a Digital Marketing Intern for its Colombo team. You will assist with organic campaigns, use AI tools for content creation, conduct market research, manage social media, and analyze performance to support the marketing team’s objectives.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the planning, creation, and execution of organic digital marketing campaigns across email and social media; provide research, copy, and creative assets in support of paid advertising initiatives.

• Use generative-AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini) to draft and refine subject lines, social captions, blog outlines, and other marketing copy.

• Conduct market research and analysis to identify industry trends, competitor activities, and customer preferences.

• Manage and optimize the company’s presence on social media platforms, including content creation, scheduling, and community engagement.

• Help build and optimize landing pages and email workflows to improve lead generation and conversion rates.

• Collaborate with the marketing team to produce engaging content for blogs, the website, and other digital channels.

• Provide administrative support to the marketing team as needed.

• Create visually appealing graphics for social posts, blog headers, and email newsletters using Canva or similar tools (AI image generators a plus).

• Monitor and report on the performance of organic campaigns using analytics tools; present insights and recommendations for continuous improvement.

• Stay current with digital marketing and AI trends, tools, and best practices.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s degree program in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field.

• Demonstrated interest in digital marketing and willingness to learn in a fast-paced environment.

• Exposure to at least in two generative-AI platform (e.g., ChatGPT, Gemini) and an understanding of prompt-writing fundamentals.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

• Experience with Canva or comparable design tools for creating marketing collateral; familiarity with AI image tools is an advantage.

• Ability to work independently as well as collaborate effectively within a team.

• Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and time-management abilities.

• Positive attitude and readiness to take on new challenges.
