Key Duties

As a Graduate Engineer Trainee at Valeo in Chennai, you will support the design, integration, and validation of automotive systems and components. Your main responsibilities will include:

• Assisting in the execution of tasks aligned with the Discipline Development Plan.

• Reviewing and interpreting customer specifications and internal requirements.

• Supporting robust design and validation activities to meet performance and cost objectives.

• Contributing to the development of technical architecture, standards, and design reviews with internal teams and suppliers.

• Following company standardization rules and compliance procedures throughout the design process.

• Supporting simulation, coding, validation, and design calculations (including worst-case/statistical analysis).

• Assisting in testing and verification activities for assigned projects.

• Reporting task progress and promptly escalating risks to management when necessary.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, Automotive, or related discipline).

• Strong understanding of design principles, validation processes, and engineering simulations.

• Familiarity with automotive standards, specifications, and testing procedures is an advantage.

• Good communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and adapt to new technologies.
