Job Summary
The Data Scientist role provides advanced analytical support by designing predictive models, preparing data, and delivering insights that guide high-impact decisions. This position requires technical skill, business understanding, and the ability to communicate complex findings clearly.
Responsibilities
• Design, build, and deploy robust predictive models to address core business challenges, including, but not limited to, demand forecasting, operational efficiency improvements, and revenue optimization strategies.
• Partner effectively with cross-functional teams (such as clinical, operations, finance, marketing, and HR) to identify high-impact opportunities where predictive analytics can deliver tangible business value.
• Work hands-on with the SQL and Azure-based Data Warehouse to extract, clean, transform, and prepare data for rigorous modeling and analysis.
• Ensure data integrity and quality throughout the modeling lifecycle.
• Collaborate closely with the Business Intelligence (BI) team to seamlessly integrate predictive model insights and outputs into the organization’s reporting ecosystem, primarily using Power BI dashboards for decision-makers.
• Present complex analytical findings, model methodologies, and strategic recommendations clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders across the organization.
• Ability to work independently and take ownership of end-to-end analytics initiatives, from problem definition to final deployment.
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related quantitative field.
• 2–5 years of experience in data science, predictive modeling, or advanced analytics.
• Strong proficiency in SQL and demonstrable experience working with enterprise data warehouses (preferably Azure).
• Skilled in Python or R for data analysis, predictive modeling, and general machine learning tasks.
• Experience with Power BI or similar data visualization tools.
• Strong understanding of statistical methodologies and various machine learning algorithms.
• Excellent communication and storytelling skills necessary to engage and influence stakeholders at all organizational levels.
• Familiarity with the Azure ML, Azure Synapse, or Azure Data Factory suite of tools.
• Exposure to MLOps principles and practices, specifically deployaing models into a production environment.
• Knowledge of advanced techniques such as forecasting, optimization, or text analytics.
