Job Summary

The CHB Executive processes all import and export documentation accurately, coordinates with wharf and operations teams, and ensures timely cargo clearance. The role demands strong coordination, documentation management, and close collaboration with shipping lines and authorities to maintain smooth logistics workflows.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and process all import and export documentation, including CUSDEC, manifests, BLs, invoices, and other related forms.
• Submit ASYCUDA entries, import manifests, and BOI documentation as required.
• Ensure compliance with Sri Lanka Customs regulations, SLPA, and other statutory authorities.
• Maintain complete and accurate filing of all customs documents.
• Coordinate with the wharf team and ensure they receive all necessary documents for customs clearance.
• Work closely with the operations team to ensure timely clearance and delivery of shipments.
• Liaise with shipping lines, terminals, CHA holders, and relevant authorities when required.
• Track shipment status and provide timely updates to internal teams.
• Communicate professionally with clients, vendors, and internal team members.
• Coordinate with service providers for smooth operational flow.
• Support customer inquiries related to documentation and customs procedures.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of experience in import and export documentation (experience in both air and sea operations is an added advantage).
• Strong knowledge of ASYCUDA, CUSDEC preparation, import manifest submissions, and general customs procedures.
• Familiarity with freight forwarding processes, port operations, and documentation workflows.
• High attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong coordination and time management skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• Good communication, both written and verbal.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and logistics documentation systems.
