Job Summary

The Business Development Manager will lead Pink Elephant’s growth strategy across Sri Lanka’s hospitality market. This role involves driving occupancy, developing strategic partnerships, and ensuring operational excellence in all serviced apartment properties.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement strategic business development plans to achieve occupancy, revenue, and brand growth targets.
• Prepare annual operating budgets and forecasts, monitor financial performance, and optimize profitability through effective cost management.
• Oversee day-to-day operations across departments including front office, housekeeping, and maintenance to ensure seamless guest experiences.
• Manage guest satisfaction initiatives, resolve service issues, and leverage feedback to continuously enhance operational excellence.
• Supervise procurement and inventory management, negotiate supplier contracts, and maintain cost efficiency.
• Build and maintain strategic partnerships with key stakeholders to strengthen market presence and drive bookings.
• Oversee business development activities across all properties to ensure alignment with group strategy.
• Represent Pink Elephant at industry events, exhibitions, and networking forums to promote the brand.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business management, Marketing, Hospitality, Tourism, or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in business development or sales, preferably within hospitality, serviced apartments, or tourism.
• Strong understanding of short- and long-term accommodation markets and luxury guest expectations. Familiarity with travel management systems and booking engines is an advantage.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
• Proven ability to lead teams, drive innovation, and deliver measurable business results.
