Position Overview: HR Coordinator (Payroll)

We are looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented HR Coordinator – Payroll to join our Katunayake-based HR team. This full-time on-site role is vital in supporting the end-to-end payroll process, benefits administration, and employee relations. You will work closely with the HR Manager and finance teams to ensure accurate, timely, and compliant HR operations.


Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the monthly payroll process, ensuring accurate calculations and on-time disbursements
  • Handle employee benefits administration including attendance, leave records, and insurance
  • Assist in resolving employee queries and grievances related to payroll and benefits
  • Ensure adherence to Sri Lankan labor laws and company HR policies
  • Maintain confidential employee records and data management systems
  • Support HR audits and statutory compliance reporting
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of HR systems and payroll procedures
  • Assist in onboarding processes and employee documentation

Qualifications & Skills Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
  • 2+ years of experience in HR or payroll coordination roles (hospitality industry experience is a plus)
  • Excellent knowledge of Sri Lankan labor laws, payroll systems, and statutory requirements
  • Proficiency in MS Excel and HR software
  • Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
  • High level of confidentiality and attention to detail
  • Ability to multitask in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
