About the Role

We are looking for a dedicated Electrical Engineering Associate to support the execution and commissioning of Low Voltage (LV) and Medium Voltage (MV) electrical systems across diverse industrial and commercial projects. This role is ideal for a recent graduate or early-career engineer passionate about hands-on electrical engineering work, system diagnostics, and sustainable energy practices.

You will be involved in critical field activities including testing, servicing, energy audits, and safety inspections. Working under the guidance of senior engineers and alongside skilled technicians, you’ll gain real-world exposure and become part of national and international engineering projects that emphasize compliance, innovation, and reliability.


Key Responsibilities

  • Execute on-site testing and commissioning of new LV/MV installations including:
    • Transformer testing
    • Protection relay calibration
    • High voltage and insulation resistance testing
    • Earth resistance and loop impedance testing
    • Thermographic surveys and power quality analysis
  • Assist in conducting electrical safety and energy audits in line with industry standards.
  • Support servicing of electrical panels, transformers, and lightning protection systems.
  • Ensure accurate documentation and assist in the preparation of technical certifications and client reports.
  • Collaborate with electrical engineers, consultants, and site technicians to meet project goals on time and within budget.
  • Adhere to ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System guidelines and company policies.
  • Contribute to departmental initiatives and business development projects as required.

Required Qualifications

  • Diploma or NVQ Level 5/6 in Electrical Engineering or related field from a recognized institution.
  • Minimum 12 months of on-site training or internship experience.
  • Solid foundational knowledge of electrical systems and safety practices.
  • Basic proficiency in AutoCAD, Microsoft Office, and engineering tools.
  • Good communication skills in English (written and verbal).
  • A valid driver’s license (manual and automatic) is essential.
  • Commitment to a minimum 2-year employment term at APCL.
