The Role & Responsibilities
As a Customer Solutions Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in bridging the gap between technical expertise and customer needs. This role goes far beyond traditional engineering, as you will engage directly with enterprise clients, service providers, and partners to ensure successful adoption of Plume’s advanced networking solutions.
Core Responsibilities:
- Technical Consultation and Solution Design
Collaborate with clients to analyze requirements, evaluate existing infrastructure, and recommend the most effective configurations of Plume’s cloud-based services. - Hands-On Implementation
Configure both hardware and software, including cloud services, networking equipment, and systems integration, ensuring solutions are tailored for optimal performance and scalability. - Pre-Sales Engineering Support
Partner with the sales team to design proof-of-concept demonstrations, provide technical presentations, and deliver compelling solution roadmaps that address client challenges. - Large-Scale SaaS Deployment Guidance
Support enterprise-level rollouts involving millions of endpoints by applying your knowledge of SaaS networks, wireless technologies, and SDN. - Client Training and Enablement
Equip customer teams with the technical knowledge they need to manage and optimize deployed solutions, fostering long-term partnerships. - Travel for Customer Engagements
Dedicate over 70% of your time to traveling for onsite deployments, training sessions, and technical workshops, ensuring that Plume’s solutions exceed client expectations. - Collaboration Across Teams
Work closely with product development, sales, and customer success teams to ensure seamless solution delivery and constant improvement of offerings.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
- Educational Background
A Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field, or equivalent work experience that demonstrates advanced technical expertise. - Extensive Experience
At least 10+ years of hands-on experience in networking, security, or web technologies, ideally in a customer-facing engineering role. - Leadership Experience
A minimum of 3+ years in leadership, showcasing your ability to mentor teams, manage projects, and lead initiatives with measurable impact. - Technical Expertise
Proven track record in configuring hardware, software, and cloud services with emphasis on networking equipment and system integration. - Communication Skills
Advanced English communication skills—both written and verbal—are essential for engaging effectively with customers and internal stakeholders worldwide. - Industry Knowledge
In-depth understanding of SDN, wireless technologies, and cloud-based solutions with a preference for candidates who have worked with Plume’s type of adaptive networking solutions. - Deployment Experience
Direct experience in managing large-scale SaaS deployments that involve millions of endpoints, particularly for service providers or enterprise clients.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior experience with AI-driven networking solutions.
- Knowledge of cybersecurity practices and smart services ecosystems.
- Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing client requirements.
