Position Overview
We are on the lookout for a dynamic and visionary Executive Chef to lead our culinary operations at our Colombo property. This is a rare opportunity for a culinary leader to bring their passion for gastronomy into an environment that values creativity, excellence, and Sri Lankan hospitality at its core.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee all kitchen operations across ร la carte, buffet, banqueting, and special event services.
- Develop, innovate, and standardize seasonal menus with a balance of local and international cuisines.
- Maintain exceptional quality and consistency of food presentation and taste.
- Train, supervise, and inspire kitchen staff to maintain discipline, creativity, and hygiene standards.
- Implement and uphold strict food safety, sanitation, and cleanliness protocols.
- Monitor inventory, procurement, and kitchen budgeting in collaboration with the procurement team.
- Continuously seek feedback from guests to enhance the culinary experience and menu offerings.
Qualifications & Skills
- Proven experience as an Executive Chef or Sous Chef in a luxury hotel or resort environment.
- Culinary degree or professional certification in Culinary Arts from a recognized institution.
- Excellent menu development and cost control skills.
- In-depth knowledge of food safety regulations and kitchen hygiene practices.
- Ability to lead and motivate a diverse culinary team under pressure.
- Creative flair combined with discipline and consistency in execution.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to coordinate with service teams and management.
