Position Overview
We are seeking a passionate and service-oriented Tour Consultant to join our growing team in Colombo. This role involves designing custom travel itineraries, engaging directly with clients, and ensuring seamless coordination of guided tours. As the first point of contact for many travelers, you will play a crucial role in shaping their dream journeys through Sri Lanka.
Key Responsibilities
- Consult with clients to understand their travel preferences, budget, and expectations
- Create and propose personalized tour itineraries with detailed pricing and inclusions
- Coordinate with transport providers, hotels, and tour guides to confirm bookings
- Deliver exceptional customer service throughout the entire travel planning process
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of local attractions, seasonal activities, and luxury properties
- Handle client inquiries via email, phone, and in-person meetings in a prompt and professional manner
- Prepare necessary travel documentation and pre-departure information for clients
- Collaborate with marketing and reservations teams to promote packages and manage leads
Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Tourism, Hospitality, Marketing, or a related field
- Proven experience in travel consulting, itinerary planning, or tour coordination
- Excellent verbal and written communication in English; fluency in additional languages is an asset
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and time management
- Knowledge of Sri Lanka’s tourism landscape, destinations, and luxury travel standards
- Passionate about customer satisfaction and cultural tourism
- Proficiency in MS Office and travel planning software/tools
