Role Overview
We are seeking a passionate and student-focused Student Counselor to join our growing team. In this on-site role, you will be responsible for advising students on international education pathways, assisting with application processes, and providing compassionate support tailored to each individual’s academic and career aspirations. Your guidance will shape the future of aspiring students and help them navigate the complex journey of studying abroad.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide accurate and personalized counseling to students seeking international education opportunities
- Assist with university selection, admission requirements, and visa processes
- Maintain regular communication with students and their families
- Deliver exceptional customer service and build trusting relationships
- Guide students through scholarship opportunities and application deadlines
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless service delivery
- Stay up-to-date with global education trends, university policies, and immigration updates
Required Qualifications
- Strong background in student counseling, education consulting, or a related field
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Sinhala (Tamil is a plus)
- Customer service-oriented mindset with empathy and patience
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to connect with students from diverse backgrounds
- Familiarity with global education systems, especially UK, Australia, Canada, and New Zealand
- Previous experience in an educational consultancy or similar environment is an added advantage
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM tools
