Job Summary

The Account Associate supports daily accounting operations, financial reporting, and compliance activities while collaborating with senior accountants to deliver accurate and timely financial services.

Responsibilities

• Assist with daily accounting operations, including data entry, payables, receivables, and reconciliations.
• Support in preparing management accounts, financial reports, and other documentation.
• Ensure accurate and timely recording of financial transactions.
• Assist in maintaining compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations, and statutory requirements.
• Identify and report accounting discrepancies or issues to senior staff.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure tasks are completed on time.
• Provide support during audits by preparing necessary schedules and documentation.
• Participate in process improvements and learn best practices from senior staff.
• Ensure deadlines are met and tasks are completed with accuracy.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (or pursuing).
• Part qualification in CA / CMA / ACCA / CIMA would be an added advantage.
• 1–2 years of accounting or audit experience (internship/trainee experience will be considered).
• Strong knowledge of basic accounting principles and practices.
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently with guidance and as part of a team.
• Proficiency in MS Excel and familiarity with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, SAP, or similar) will be an advantage.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• A positive attitude, professionalism, and eagerness to learn.
