Xcova was established in 2008 in London, UK, to provide offshore legal and business support services to Smart Legal (www.smartlegal.co.uk), a London-based conveyancing firm. Xcova delivers high-quality legal, administrative, IT, and client service support to UK law firms, combining efficiency, professionalism, and attention to detail. We are now expanding our Sri Lankan operations and are seeking a Personal Assistant (PA) to support the Managing Director and his family. This is a work-from-home position requiring exceptional organisation, communication, and initiative.

Position: Personal Assistant (PA)

Working Hours:

Monday to Friday, UK hours (8:30 a.m. – 5:30 p.m.) Occasional flexibility may be required.

Work-from-home role.

Key Responsibilities:

The successful candidate will assist the Managing Director with both professional and personal matters, including those of his wife and child. Tasks will include:

Professional Support:

  • Managing emails, calendars, and appointments.
  • Conducting online research and preparing summaries or reports.
  • Liaising with team members and external contacts.
  • Preparing documents, spreadsheets, and presentations.
  • Assisting with travel bookings, visa arrangements, and scheduling.
  • Monitoring and following up on tasks and deadlines.

Personal Support:

  • Coordinating personal appointments and family-related matters.
  • Researching products, schools, travel options, and other personal needs.
  • Managing household or family-related logistics remotely.
  • Maintaining highest level of confidentiality at all times.

Prerequisites:

  • Excellent written and spoken English.
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong IT literacy – proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Excellent internet research and online collaboration skills.
  • Highly organised, self-motivated, and proactive.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Own laptop/PC, fast broadband, smartphone, and quiet workspace.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • No degree required.
  • Prior experience as a PA, executive assistant, or in an administrative support is advantageous.
  • Strong research ability and good common sense are essential.

Remuneration:

  • Salary: LKR 120,000 per calendar month.
  • Paid monthly in arrears.
  • Opportunity for long-term employment.
